Blythfield Country Club
Since I am a mean wife, I make my husband work during the summer, or at least this it what he says. I actually think he enjoys getting out of the house and would go crazy being home with us everyday. He works at the country club on the groundscrew so he actually gets a nice tan during the summer months, also as a nice bonus they let the employees and their families use the pool and golf course on Mondays. We have been there the past two Mondays. Calli loves the kiddie pool, which is 1 foot deep and has lots of cool toys. Dan like the diving board. Andi likes the shade tree in which she usually sleeps under and I like the lounge chairs!! It is fun for the whole family!
She is so funny in her carseat these days. She loves an aquadoodle travel thing she got as gift. She loves to dance and sing (scream). She also enjoys her "mimi" (pacifier) and "mimi" (blanket)in her carseat which is one of 2 places she can have them-the other being her bed. We are trying to get her to call her blanket a blanket but so far no luck, both are called "mimi" which is very confusing. I can't believe the difference one year makes, last year she was in the infant seat sleeping on most of our drives.

Start of Summer!!
Just as the Christmas season is not official until the man in red rides in the Rockford parade, summer is unofficial until the Rockford Start of Summer celebration. We started the day with a parade, lunch at the Ginacs and then went downtown for the carnival area. We had our 1st elephant ear of the season, made a tshirt, and did many other activities. As you can see the day started out wet, but by 1030 the sun broke thru and it ended up in the high 70s!

Little Mama
She was playing her doll and then I noticed she was using the sling. It was so funny! It is amazing to see what the kiddo picks up just by watching us. We better become more Godly people fast!

Being good girls...rare moment
I had just gotten Calli dressed and went to get myself ready to leave the house....that is when I noticed it...the silence, not usually a good thing in our house these days except when both are in their beds. But i walked in the living room to see Calli sitting right next to Andi and the sweetest thing in the world, she was talking to her in a soft sweet voice. She was talking about the babies on the BabyPraise video. Then a fish came on the screen and Calli told Andi that it was a fish using sign language. I know she was talking to her becasue she would turn to her a face her when talking. It was one of those unexpected "proud and thankful for the blessngs God has given us" moments.

Bumpa!!
My dad has been working a job in Cedar Springs so sometimes he comes over on his way to/from work to play with Calli. He has come during her naps a few times and honestly looks so sad that she is sleeping that I have no choice but to wake the poor girl up to play with her Bumpa!! She is always so excited to see him and play!
